Career and volunteering opportunities at Buryfields
At Buryfields we wholeheartedly believe in the importance of inspiring and teaching the next generation of educators. Our NQT programme has recently been assessed by the local authority and we have been judged to be meeting or exceeding the requirements in every category. For the third year running we are working with the Anton Andover Alliance Teaching Programme, with great success. Every year we also welcome students from all stages of the education process, from pupils in Year 10 and 11 or college, as well as BEd and PGCE students. We are very aware that making a career change into teaching or becoming a member of the support staff can be difficult and daunting. We warmly welcome those who are thinking about becoming a teacher or teaching assistant to come into school to meet with us to talk about what it is really like, what the expectations are at a school such as Buryfields and the potential opportunity of working with us on a volunteer basis to gain insight and experience. As with all staff and students, volunteers must go through the DBS checks.
Current vacancies: Lunchtime Supervisory Assistant - 1.25 hours per day to help the children during lunchtime with their food and play time.
